Tbilisi-based Avant-garde prog black metal band Im Nebel has officially joined forces with our eclectic and (un)parallel label Octopus Rising, marking a significant milestone in their artistic journey. To celebrate this partnership, the band has released their highly anticipated new single, “Life”, offering fans a preview of their forthcoming album.

Im Nebel was founded in 2004, inspired by the evocative imagery of Hermann Hesse’s poem Im Nebel. Their music combines profound lyricism with complex compositions, resulting in a haunting and atmospheric soundscape. Their early material, culminating in a series of acclaimed live performances between 2008 and 2011.

However, lineup changes and technical challenges marked a transitional period for the band. In 2014, drummer Nikoloz Rukhadze, joined forces with guitarist Grigol Lobzhanidze and founding member Michael Lenz, reigniting the band’s creative drive. This collaboration led to the release of their first single, “Undestroyed” with vocalist Alexandre Gurchumelia.

Between 2018 and 2023, Im Nebel dedicated themselves to perfecting their sound. Intricate symphonic and synth arrangements played a pivotal role that now define the band’s signature style. Every detail of the recording, and post-production process was meticulously crafted to align with their artistic vision.

Signing with the Italian label Octopus Rising represents a bold new chapter for Im Nebel. Their collaboration promises to expand the band’s reach and bring their innovative symphonic prog black metal to a global audience.
