NIBIRU: ‘Padmalotus’ Webisode #2
The second in a series of webisodes leading up to the release of “Padmalotus”, the third album from the Italian Ritual Psychedelic trio NIBIRU, can be seen below.
[youtube id=”c5T00fOfeJg”]It features the song “Ashmadaeva”. “The name Asmodai is believed to derive from Avestan language *a?šma-da?va, where a?šma means ‘wrath’, and da?va signifies ‘demon’. This track contains a particular ambivalence. On one side the raw power of the classic sound of Nibiru and on the other side it incorporates a thrilling dark ambient with particular instruments like gong and didgeridoo”, explains the drummer and guitars player Siatris.
“This is the first track we wrote during the new Nibiru ‘way’. We took more care of its structure, even if we did not lose our love for the improvisation. After the creation of this song, we decided to create a record quite different, compared to the previous albums”, adds the frontman of the band Ardath.
Due on May 18 via Argonauta Records, PADMALOTUS was recorded by NIBIRU at Aadya’s Temple. The album was mixed and mastered by Emiliano “Pilloplex” Pilloni at Soundlab Studio in Settimo Torinese (Italy).
