PLASMAJET was founded in 2014 in Giessen, Germany, by Lars (guitar/vocals), Till (drums), and Michael (bass), driven by a shared passion for metal, stoner, rock, and blues. After a few early performances, Maxl joined as lead guitarist, but shortly after, Michael departed. The band continued as a trio, recording their first demo in 2015 before welcoming Dennis on bass, completing the lineup. Over the next four years, PLASMAJET built a strong reputation with over 40 live shows, including performances at M.I.S.E. Open Air and Flörsheimer Open Air, as well as support slots for bands like Bushfire and Earthship. Their mix of heaviness, groove, and melody, combined with an energetic stage presence, earned them a dedicated following.
In 2018, they released their debut album, United Dementia, but soon after, Till left the band. Nicholas took over on drums, allowing the band to continue performing, supporting acts such as Powder for Pigeons and Black Space Riders. However, the pandemic brought further changes, leading to the departures of Maxl and Nicholas. During the downtime, Lars and Dennis focused on songwriting until, in 2022, they found new members Jannik (guitar) and John (drums), injecting fresh energy into the project.
Now, PLASMAJET is back with their second album, Solastalgia, a bold evolution of their sound. With thunderous riffs, deep grooves, and immersive atmospheres, they are ready to take their music to the next level.
