GURNSLINGER Announce Second Single & Music Video “The Lizards” From Upcoming Debut Album “Who Killed the World?”
Emerging from the rugged shores of Jersey, apocalyptic rockers Gurnslinger are set to unleash their second single, “The Lizards”, accompanied by an official music video. The track is taken from their highly anticipated debut album, “Who Killed the World?”, scheduled for release on May 2nd, 2025, via Octopus Rising / Argonauta Records in CD and digital formats.
Recorded in the depths of a bleak January at a remote farm in Rozel Bay, Jersey, the band locked themselves away in an isolated landscape that perfectly mirrored the themes of doom and decay explored throughout the album. Under the watchful eye of local shaman Lucas Saunter, the recording process was raw, immersive, and fuelled by a steady supply of ale, herbal inspiration, and a relentless loop of Mad Max: Fury Road playing in the background. The result? A genre-defying fusion of stoner rock, progressive structures, and punk attitude, capturing the essence of a world teetering on the edge of oblivion.
The finishing touches on the mix were handled by London-based producer Steve Sears Jr (Gallows, Conjurer, The Hell, WACO), ensuring that the album’s apocalyptic energy is as visceral as it is immersive.

Gurnslinger began their journey in late 2022, forging their sound amidst the crumbling ruins of civilization. Hailing from Jersey—a mere forty-five square mile rock off the north coast of France—their music reflects themes of environmental destruction and societal collapse. But Gurnslinger is no exercise in nihilism; instead, they deliver a final battle cry, a raw and unrelenting burst of energy that demands to be heard before the world burns.
